The cover art for your music is an important part of its online presentation. When distributing your music on online platforms, it is important to ensure that your cover art meets the requirements of these platforms in order to ensure the best possible presentation of your music.
 

Generally, online platforms have the following requirements for cover art:

  • Resolution: The cover art should be at least 3000×3000 pixels in resolution. This will ensure that the cover art looks clear and sharp on high-resolution displays.

  • Format: The cover art should be in a common image format, such as JPEG or PNG.

  • Size: The cover art should be less than 25MB in size.

  • Naming: The cover art file should be named consistently across all of your tracks. For example, you could use “artistname-trackname-cover.jpg” as the file name for each track’s cover art.

  • Legal: The cover art should not infringe on any copyrights or trademarks. Make sure to use original artwork or properly licensed artwork for your cover art.
